(Majin Eiyuu Den Wataru)

Mejin Eiyu Den Wataru is based on a Japanese animation series created by Sunrise, also responsible for some of the most famous mecha-anime aired in the 80s/90s. The player controls a kid who has the amazing power to transform into a powerful robot-warrior when a enters the Rainbow Shrine, sorts of door connecting the Earthto the demon world. Each level is split into two parts. In the first one, our hero wonders around as a normal kid and can use his sword to defeat standard enemies and collect money. This well earned cash can then be spend in shops to purchase better swords, more life or more bombs (activated by pressing up and attack). When our hero enters a Rainbow Shrine, he then turn into a powerful robot and gets warped to an area with nastier monsters and deadlier hazards. Once there, only one thing will get him warped back on Earth. He will have to find and defeat the guardian hidding somewhere in this part of the demon world. The game offers infinite continues, but in a way similar to Role Playing Games, the price to pay is half of our hero's stock of bombs and money.
