TRIVIA

Released in Japan in March 15, 1996.

The game was directed in 1995 by Syuji Yoshida, who started his job as a producer and director at HUMAN in 1992 after having studied in the HUMAN Creative School program. The game was designed to go in direct competition with Yuke's emerging Shin Nippon Pro Wrestling: Toukon Retsuden, but Fire Pro Wrestling engine sadly didn't translate well into 3D. When HUMAN demonstrated lack of support to develop further 3D Fire Pro titles afterwards, Yoshida left the company to form The Man Breeze, a company initially dedicated to developed wrestling games in full 3D.

As with every other Fire Pro Wrestling game, the wrestlers are based on real life performers but given fake names because HUMAN didn't pay for a license. As always, they are listed below with Fire Pro Wrestling name to the left, and real name to the right:

Nobuhisa Sanada = Nobuhiko Takada
Kyoku Red Kaiser = Jushin "Thunder" Liger
Super Dolphin = Super Delfin
Star Bison = Stan Hansen
Ax Duggan = Hulk Hogan
Blade Musha = The Great Muta
Mitsuhide Hikawa = Mitsuharu Misawa
Takashi Kajiwara = Yoshiaki Fujiwara
Hitman Saber = Big Van Vader
Akira Saeha = Akira Maeda

TIPS AND TRICKS

There are two bosses in this game, Minoru Randori (based on Minoru Suzuki) and Victory Musashi (based on Antonio Inoki). You can play as the bosses by winning the championship in Circuit Mode with each of the ten initially playable characters. When you've done that, select the Belt History option on the main menu and press Circle first to load your championships, then press Circle again to exit. When you play either the Circuit or Exhibition mode, you can find the hidden characters by going all the way to the left or right of the character select screen. Note that your championships make the content of your save file. If you delete the championships on the Belt History mode, the hidden wrestlers will be lost.
