(Almana no Kiseki)

Almana no Kiseki is a platform game by Konami featuring an Indiana Jones wannabe on a journey to retrieve a mystical rock. The game opens up in a remote village in an desolate country. The Arumana, a red magic stone, has been keeping the village at peace for centuries but a callous thief stole the precious jewel and a mysterious spell turned all the villagers into stone statues. The hero of the game, whom the player controls, must pursue the thief and bring the stone back to its original owners. The game's protagonist can use a large arsenal of weapons, from throwing knives, gun, bombs, boomerangs or a mace and they all come in limited quantities. But our hero's greatest strength is his grappling hook - he can throw a hook/rope in the air and attach it to virtually any vertical surface. This unique technique allows him to reach high platforms, climb up or get over obstacles. Almana no Kiseki counts six large areas to explore with a final boss encounter waiting at the end of each one of them.
